I have also written an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejc.com\/comment\/comment\/25176\/this-ruling-creates-more-problems-it-resolves\">analysis<\/a> of the nine judgments.<!--break--><\/p>\n<p>Readers may notice that I gave the wrong date for the Race Relations Act in the second piece: it should be 1976, not 1996. Apologies for the typo.<\/p>\n<p>But here\u2019s an in-joke to make up for it. Lady Hale, at paragraph 66, speculates on whether the boy\u2019s mother \u201cshopped in Waitrose rather than Marks and Spencer\u201d.
