{"id":561,"date":"2009-10-15T09:18:49","date_gmt":"2009-10-15T09:18:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ondrocks2000.com\/standpoint\/2009\/10\/15\/beethoven-didn-t-write-fur-elise\/"},"modified":"2009-10-15T09:18:49","modified_gmt":"2009-10-15T09:18:49","slug":"beethoven-didn-t-write-fur-elise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ondrocks2000.com\/standpoint\/2009\/10\/15\/beethoven-didn-t-write-fur-elise\/","title":{"rendered":"Beethoven didn&#8217;t write F\u00fcr Elise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back from France to discover some news that might, um, set the musical world on fire: new research shows that \u2018F\u00fcr Elise\u2019 may not have been composed by Beethoven, or at least not entirely.<!--break-->\u00a0Milan\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corriere.it\/cultura\/09_ottobre_12\/beethoven_per_elisa_bc80adc6-b748-11de-b239-00144f02aabc.shtml\">Corriere della Sera carries the story<\/a> that Italian musicologist Luca Chiantore has researched the topic for eight years and has now presented at the University of Barcelona a case in favour of one Ludwig Nohl.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently Nohl, a young musicologist, discovered Beethoven\u2019s notes for the piece in 1865 and used them to construct the work, which was consequently only published some 40 years after LvB\u2019s death.
